Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What should I bring to the seminar?
A: Feel free to bring a copy of your current resumé and cover letter, a notepad, pen or pencil, and any questions you may have for Jim.

Q: Will I be able to talk to Jim Mitchell personally?
A: Absolutely! Jim enjoys audience interaction. Time is allotted during the seminar for you to ask questions and to interact with Jim. (A note of caution from the staff: Don't let him start telling stories, or it may turn into an all-day event!)

Q: How do I register for a seminar?
A: You may pre-register on our website by clicking on the Register link. This method is encouraged, as seminars tend to sell out quickly. If you decide to register at the door, we recommend that you call or email to confirm seat availability beforehand.

Q: How late can I register for a seminar?
A: Your can register at the door the day of the seminar. However, we recommend registering as early as possible, as seminars tend to fill up fast.

Q: Where can I find seminar information?
A: Visit our website and click on seminar Schedule. All seminar times and locations are posted. After you register, a confirmation message with location and time will be sent to your email account.

Q: Will I receive materials at the seminar?
A: Yes. You will receive a reference manual and a seminar overview. It is recommended that you bring a notepad for additional writing space.

Q: Will I be notified if there are any changes to my scheduled seminar?
A: If there are any changes to the scheduled seminar, you will be notified by email and/or phone as soon as possible. Also, the seminar Schedule portion of our website will reflect any changes.

Q: If I am unable to attend but have already registered, can I get a refund?
A: No. We are unable to give refunds as space is limited, and your payment holds your space for that venue. However, if we receive your notice of cancellation at least 48 hours prior to the event, we will allow you to apply your registration fee toward a future venue.

Q: What if I need special accommodations?
A: We take pride in meeting the needs of all seminar participants. Seminars are held in facilities that are accessible to different types of abilities. Let us know what kind of accommodations you may need beforehand, so that we can ensure the most comfortable experience for you. We will do our best to assist in anyway.

Q: My question was not answered here.
